Hello Prospective AP Chem student,
This page is designed to help regular Chemistry or Physics students learn material necessary to succeed in AP Chemistry. The contents may also be helpful for Chemistry Honors students as a review. You will need to review the concepts of naming, bonding, atomic structure, empirical/molecular formula and determining the formula of the hydrate. To make this review easy for you, I have created the podcasts (screencasts of the powerpoints), documents (notes, power points, ion lists etc.) and worksheets ( for practice problems).
For maximum benefit, I recommend that you complete the materials in the order
they have been given. Additional materials may be found in Unit
A (Ch 1-4) of the AP
Chemistry website. Because the contents of Unit A are considered review,
they will be covered quickly during the school year. Thus, I highly recommend
reviewing these materials before the summer ends.
